Qur'an Ayah of the day, 19 Muharram 1490

And the believers should not all go out to fight. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may gain sound knowledge in religion, and that they may warn their folk when they return to them, so that they may beware.

Surah At-Tawba(9:122)

Hadith of the day, 19 Muharram 1490

Sahih al-Bukhari

Forgetfulness in Prayer

Chapter: To say Takbir in the prostrations of Sahw

Narrated `Abdullah bin Buhaina Al-Asdi:

(the ally of Bani `Abdul Muttalib) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up for the Zuhr prayer and he should have sat (after the second rak`a but he stood up for the third rak`a without sitting for Tashah-hud) and when he finished the prayer he performed two prostrations and said Takbir on each prostration while sitting, before ending (the prayer) with Taslim; and the people too performed the two prostrations with him instead of the sitting he forgot.
