Then he (Joseph) began the search with their bags before his brother's bag, then he produced it from his brother's bag. Thus did We contrive for Joseph. He could not have taken his brother according to the king's law unless Allah willed. We raise by grades (of mercy) whom We will, and over every lord of knowledge there is one more knowing.

Hadith of the day, 27 Ramadan 1454

Sahih al-Bukhari

Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh))

The Statement of Allah the Exalted: "Glorified (and Exalted) is He (Allah) [above all that (evil) they associate with Him], Who took His slave (Muḥammad pbuh) for a Journey by Night from Al-Masjid-al-Ḥarām (at Makkah) to Al-Masjid-al-Aqsā (in Jerusalem)..." (V.17:1)

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When the Quraish disbelieved me (concerning my night journey), I stood up in Al- Hijr (the unroofed portion of the Ka`ba) and Allah displayed Bait-ul-Maqdis before me, and I started to inform them (Quraish) about its signs while looking at it."
