Qur'an Ayah of the day, 20 Dhul Hijjah 1450

Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do.

Surah An-Nahl(16:112)

Hadith of the day, 20 Dhul Hijjah 1450

Sahih al-Bukhari

Call to Prayers (Adhaan)

Chapter: The Salat (prayer) of women behind men

Narrated Um Salama:

Whenever Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) completed the prayer with Taslim, the women used to get up immediately and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) would remain at his place for someone before getting up. (The sub-narrator (Az- Zuhri) said, "We think, and Allah knows better, that he did so, so that the women might leave before men could get in touch with them).
