Qur'an Ayah of the day, 22 Jumada Al Oula 1448

Lo! ye are those who are called to spend in the way of Allah, yet among you there are some who hoard. And as for him who hoardeth, he hoardeth only from his soul. And Allah is the Rich, and ye are the poor. And if ye turn away He will exchange you for some other folk, and they will not be the likes of you.

Surah Muhammad(47:38)

Hadith of the day, 22 Jumada Al Oula 1448

Sahih al-Bukhari

Hajj (Pilgrimage)

Chapter: The Statement of Allah Most High: "And take ˹necessary˺ provisions ˹for the journey˺—surely the best provision is righteousness." (2:197)

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The people of Yemen used to come for Hajj and used not to bring enough provisions with them and used to say that they depend on Allah. On their arrival in Medina they used to beg the people, and so Allah revealed, "And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is the fear of Allah." (2.197).
