Qur'an Ayah of the day, 18 Dhul Hijjah 1382

O ye who believe! Let not a folk deride a folk who may be better than they (are), not let women (deride) women who may be better than they are; neither defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. Bad is the name of lewdness after faith. And whoso turneth not in repentance, such are evil-doers.

Surah Al-Hujuraat(49:11)

Hadith of the day, 18 Dhul Hijjah 1382

Sahih al-Bukhari

Bathing (Ghusl)

Chapter: To screen oneself from the people while taking a bath

Narrated Maimuna:

I screened the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was taking a bath of Janaba. He washed his hands, poured water from his right hand over his left and washed his private parts. Then he rubbed his hand over a wall or the earth, and performed ablution similar to that for the prayer but did not wash his feet. Then he poured water over his body, shifted from that place, and washed his feet.
