Qur'an Ayah of the day, 9 Shawwal 1375

Say O People of the Scripture! Ye have naught (of guidance) till ye observe the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto you from your Lord. That which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) from thy Lord is certain to increase the contumacy and disbelief of many of them. But grieve not for the disbelieving folk.

Surah Al-Maaida(5:68)

Hadith of the day, 9 Shawwal 1375

Sahih al-Bukhari

Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)

Chapter: The Salat (prayer) of the Prophet (pbuh) at night in Ramadan and (in) other months

Narrated `Aisha:

I did not see the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting (the Qur'an) in the night prayer while sitting except when he became old; when he used to recite while sitting, and when thirty or forty verses remained from the Sura, he would get up and recite them and then bow.
