Qur'an Ayah of the day, 14 Shaban 1390

If Allah took mankind to task by that which they deserve, He would not leave a living creature on the surface of the earth; but He reprieveth them unto an appointed term, and when their term cometh - then verily (they will know that) Allah is ever Seer of His slaves.

Surah Faatir(35:45)

Hadith of the day, 14 Shaban 1390

Sahih al-Bukhari

Fasting

Chapter: Should it be said "Ramadan" or "the month of Ramadan"? And whoever thinks that both are permissible

Narrated Ibn `Umar:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "When you see the crescent (of the month of Ramadan), start fasting, and when you see the crescent (of the month of Shawwal), stop fasting; and if the sky is overcast (and you can't see it) then regard the month of Ramadan as of 30 days."

Sahih al-Bukhari 1900
